A selection of photographs from my trip to Paris back in February - from sightseeing to exploring Parisian streets...
Recently I visited Kew Gardens in Richmond, London, home to the worlds largest collection of living plants - so a huge source of visual inspiration! In this particular post I will be sharing some of my images from the Palm House, which accommodates a large amount of tropical and exotic plants.
This exhibition explores the distinctive style of Ottavio and Rosita Missoni and showcases a range of textiles and artworks that have created the distinctive Italian fashion brand, Missoni.
Exploring the importance of colour through material and form, the exhibition presents a range of artwork by leading 20th century European artists, as well as the Missoni brand itself. In April I visited the Fashion and Textile Museum in London to see the Marian Claydon exhibition - Art Textiles. As part of the 2016 festival of textiles, this exhibition collated together the work of textile artist Marian Claydon who specialised in hand dyed shibori techniques.
The exhibition featured large scale wall hangings and installation pieces as well as elegant fashion garments. Featuring bold, vibrant colours and patterns throughout, with colours and shapes merging and blending, to create these energetic designs. |
